Loïc Riom works on cultural industries and digital technologies. He is a junior lecturer at the STS Lab of the University of Lausanne and teaches sociology at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). His research interests include live music, cultural infrastructures and the entanglements between the music industry and technological innovation. After a PhD thesis on the economization of intimate and secret concert formats at the Centre de sociologie de l’innovation de l’Ecole supérieure des Mines de Paris, he is currently conducting a study on financial investments in the Music Tech sector.
