Alexandra Hofmänner holds a PhD in natural sciences from ETH Zürich and received habilitation in Sociology/Science Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Basel. Her research and teaching activities address issues in the fields of science policy and post-colonial science studies. She is currently a visiting professor at RWTH Aachen University (2023-2025).
