Challenging futures: controversies, uncertainties, expertise and interventions
The next STS-CH conference will take place on 8–10 September 2027 at the University of Fribourg, Pérolles campus.
Under the theme “Challenging futures: controversies, uncertainties, expertise and interventions,” the conference will explore the ways in which futures are imagined, contested and shaped amid uncertainty, controversy and changing forms of expertise and intervention.
A call for contributions (pre-constituted ‘closed’ panels and individual papers) will be published during the winter of 2026/27. Further information will follow soon.
