The next STS-CH conference will take place on 8–10 September 2027 at the University of Fribourg, Pérolles campus.
The theme “Challenging futures: controversies, uncertainties, expertise and interventions” invites participants to explore the ways in which futures are imagined, contested and shaped amid uncertainty, controversy and changing forms of expertise and intervention.
Further information and a call for pre-constituted (‘closed’) panels and individual papers will follow during the winter of 2026/27.
