Aline is a doctoral researcher at the school of humanities and social sciences (SHSS) at the University of St. Gallen. Taking an (online) ethnographical approach to studying people behind the apps, her PhD project aims to answer how food waste apps are imagined, developed, negotiated, and refined with the aim of understanding how digital technologies reshape food waste reduction practices.
